Dr. Michael Guralnik, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM), Shiatsu and Acupuncture Physician - AP3782
Dr. Michael Guralnik (DOM) has been practicing acupuncture since 2006. Prior to that he has acquired an extensive experience doing oriental body works (Shiatsu and Tuina) combined with treatment through movement (Qikung and Feldenkrais).
After graduating from the Tel Aviv University in Traditional Chinese Medicine, he pursued post graduate studies specializing in Japanese Acupuncture, which is the primary method he is using today.
Though his skill set is balanced, and he is capable of treating any of the issues Chinese and Japanese acupuncture deals with, he has acquired a specialization dealing with headaches, insomnia and stress related syndromes.
Dr. Michael is a strong advocate of integrative medicine, combining traditional methods with western medicine. He finds the work in tight collaboration with Medical Doctors very helpful. With this concept in mind he spent time working in a hematology department in a hospital dealing with severe cases most alternative practitioners don't get to work with.
Dr. Michael is attuned both to the physical manifestation of the problem as well as to the mental environment from which they come, exploring not only the immediate problem with which the patient came into the clinic but the lifestyle issues that contributed to the problem.
Some of his specialties include: Shiatsu, headaches, pain, orthopedics, stress, sleep issues, digestion and women's issues (GYN)
Dr. Michael is available for services on Tuesday 5-9pm, Wednesday 1-5pm and Thursday 9am-1pm
Julie Hallowell, Acupuncturist - AP3279 and Massage Therapist - MA82831
I began studying Alternative and Complementary Medicine at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy, with a certification in Neuromuscular therapy. Then after moving to Florida, I graduated from East West College of Natural Medicine in 2009.
The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) concept of treating the whole patient with acupuncture, massage, herbs and food therapy is truly a complement to Western medicine diagnostics.
I have personally been able to see how the benefits of using these two systems of Medicine together can effectively treat chronic pain, autoimmune disorders and the side effects of cancer, just to name a few. My love of Chinese Medicine allows me to expound on the Hippocrates quote: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."
Some of Julie's areas to specialize include: Neuromuscular Therapy, Preventative Medicine and Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM).
Julie is available: Monday 1-9pm
Dr. Steven Collins, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) and Acupuncture Physician - AP2901
Dr. Steven Collins (DOM) has been practicing Chinese medicine since 2001. Focusing on acupuncture, tui na, qi kung and other tools from the toolbox of Chinese medicine, he treats many complaints including pain of all sorts, fatigue and “sticky” diseases. His primary practice principle is that any given presentation can be treated with a minimum number of needles. Dr. Collins is well regarded in the medical community and by his patients.
In 1997, he pursued the study of Chinese medicine. Following his 2001 graduation from Northwestern Health Sciences University, one of the leading schools of Chinese medicine in the country, Dr. Collins was asked to join that faculty. He became board-certified to practice and had a successful private practice in Oakdale, Minnesota before returning to practice in Florida. He is currently pursuing his DAOM/PhD from ATOM in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Collins’ work has appeared in national publications and he has lectured across the country on a number of aspects of Chinese medicine including tui na and herb-drug interactions. He is currently authoring a text on enhancing communication between health care professionals and their patients or colleagues.
In addition to practicing Chinese medicine, Steve teaches Southern Chinese kung fu and in March of 2007 was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He is an accomplished magician and performer and has been recognized as one of the top-10 magicians in the State of Florida.

Peter Steele, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) and Acupuncture Physician - AP3669
Dr. Peter Steele is a board-certified, licensed Acupuncture Physician (AP) and Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM)
who specializes in herbal medicine. As a primary care physician, he treats his patients using a combination of raw
herbs, pharmaceutical-grade herbal extracts, and even injectable drugs made from plant sources. In addition to
using herbal therapies, Dr. Steele also uses laboratory testing, therapeutic massage, nutritional counseling, and acupuncture for the benefit of his patients.
Dr. Steele chose to practice this form of medicine because he believes that using natural products minimizes the
harm done to our bodies and the environment by replacing the many synthetic chemicals used in modern pharmaceuticals with natural analogues. In addition, with many people in our own country unable to afford
expensive pharmaceuticals, he is a loud advocate for medicines that can be cheaply and naturally grown by the very people who need them most.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Steele also works in the community as a Florida Master Naturalist and Master
Gardener through the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agriculture Science (UF- IFAS). He seeks to
replace many foreign herbal medicines with locally-sourced replacements to help promote and conserve Florida’s
natural heritage. To that end, he also gives talks and seminars illustrating the many benefits of plant-based foods
Some of his passions include: Herbal Medicine, Injection Therapy, Dietary and Nutritional Counseling
Peter is available: by appointment only and seminars on select Sunday's
